We just wrapped up filming of our latest video project this past weekend! We’re excited to share our latest project– you can find video and photos from the shoot below! A big thanks to our videographer Chantel Ricks for editing our video!

Spartan Mambo took 2nd place at the 11th Annual Next Generation College Salsa Congress held in Los Angeles this past weekend. We had tough competition from schools like CSUN, Stanford, and CSULB and were just a few points shy of the top spot.

We also performed our 2015 championship winning salsa routine as well as a new bachata routine. Thanks to everyone who supported us on our journey, and congratulations to all the dancers!

Spartan Mambo placed 2nd at the 4th annual Collegiate Salsa Open held in Los Angeles this past weekend. Thank you to everyone who supported us both at the event and at home!

We will be working hard over the next two weeks to improve our routine for our last big event of the year, the College Salsa Congress, and hopefully bring back the title to San Jose State!

Spartan Mambo took 3rd place this past weekend at the finals of the JK Social salsa competition held in Los Angeles. The finals were a culmination of 4 qualifier competitions, with teams such as Alma Latina Dance Company from Mexico and Clave y Tumbao from LA competing for the championship.

The competition was a great practice competition for the team as we prepare for the Collegiate Salsa Open next week. Thanks everyone for the support!

Our team is excited to be competing at the JK Social next week! We will be competing in the Amateur teams division against other teams for California, for a chance to win the $1000 prize! Wish us luck!

Congratulations to Arianna Gibbs & Royce Roco from Spartan Mambo, who won the annual Jack & Jill competition at the SLO Salsa Exchange this past weekend! In a Jack & Jill competition, dancers are paired off with a random partner and freestyle to salsa, bachata, and other music. Good job to all the competitors from SJSU who made it to the finals!

Spartan Mambo competed this past Friday at the 2018 San Francisco Salsa Festival, and won 1st place in the Amateur Salsa Teams division! It was great debut performance of our new competition routine, and a great start to the competition season! Here are some photos from the performance:
